THE FIRST-EVER FILM ABOUT BARF BAGS
Our documentary The Last Barf Bag: A Tribute to a Cultural Icon explores every aspect of the barf bag universe: from pilots, boat captains, and real people telling their barf stories, to the heroes of the film, the barf bag collectors. We traveled across the country to interview the top barf bag collectors in America, documenting their passion over a six month period and showcasing their impressive collections of bags from around the world. We also wove in the narrative unfolding within the Dramamine headquarters—the realization that they’ve been killing the barf bag—to create a film that seamlessly blends culture and brand. The documentary launched in April 2024 at the iconic Logan Theater and has already been named a 2024 Official Selection at the prestigious Tribeca Festival.

REAL PEOPLE, REAL STORIES
There was no casting process for our film, because all of the characters featured in it were real people telling their real stories. From the quirky barf bag collectors who have impressive collections all the way to the Dramamine employees who make decisions for this brand, the world we found was so rich that there was never a need to find anyone to play a part.

CELEBRATING
THE 75TH ANNIVERSARY
OF DRAMAMINE
AND BARF BAGS
1949 was a big year in the fight against nausea, welcoming both the invention of the barf bag and the introduction of Dramamine. 75 years later, Dramamine is the #1 motion sickness brand, but its extraordinary effectiveness in preventing nausea has meant the barf bag is on the brink of extinction. To commemorate our joint anniversary, Dramamine breathed new life into the barf bag with a mission to make sure it still has a place in the world—even now that barf is hard to come by.

JOIN DRAMAMINE IN MAKING USELESS BARF BAGS USEFUL
Since Dramamine has barfing covered, we reimagined the barf bag and turned it into a full line of practical products designed to help people in their everyday lives (and hold everything but barf). From puppets to popcorn bags, people across the country purchased bags from our e-commerce site, and our barf bag bundles promptly sold out.
On a rainy day in early April, people lined up down the street to visit the first-ever barf bag museum. Inside, crowds of people admired bags from airlines and events from around the world, on loan from the collections of four of the most prominent barf bags collectors. They were also treated to exclusive premiere screenings of our new documentary The Last Barf Bag: A Tribute to a Cultural Icon, and had the opportunity to meet one of the stars of the film, collector and “nausivatologist” Eli Cox. At the end, visitors took home their very own repurposed barf bag, a lasting reminder that when it comes to nausea, there’s only one place to turn: Dramamine.
